Who is Delicious Design Studio

Delicious Design Studio is run by Jessica (Jess) who also runs and created the site All Things Cupcake. I am a California Girl born and raised, now living on the gulf coast. I guess you can say I’m a beach kind of girl. I’m wife and a new mom to a little girl born in the spring of 2007. I’m a very busy work at home mom as you can see. I have a passion for graphic and web design. I have been creating websites off and on for over a decade. I love what I do. I will always put 100% into my designs.

How do you find time to make designs with a baby?
Sleep times. :) I do most of my designing at night time once my little one is in bed. This allows me time to focus and create the perfect design. I don’t do much correspondence and designing during the day. View the contact page for my work hours.

I know you work with Wordpress and Blogger, but what about TypePad?
I can create a header for your TypePad blog if you have a TypePad Plus or Pro account.

How did you learn how to create web designs?
Practice practice practice! I have been creating web designs since I was 12 years old. That gives me 12+ years of experience with designing, not to mention, trial and error! I’ve spent many hours reading books, searching web sites, and playing around with templates.

So I fill out a free quote request, now what?
I receive your quote request and review it. I usually respond the same day but sometimes it may take me a day or two. Don’t worry, I haven’t forgotten you. If you do not receive a response from me, please check your spam folder. I promise, I’m not spam.

After we have worked out the cost of the project, details and figured out exactly what you need… I’ll send over an invoice through paypal. You will receive this in an e-mail and you do not have to be a paypal member to pay this invoice. By paying this invoice, I assume that you have read the Terms & Conditions. Once invoice is paid, you will be added to the designer’s schedule.

Once your design date has arrived, It may take me a few days to get things going, and I may be a little quiet.. but have no fear.. I am working hard behind the scenes getting everything together for you. The design process takes 6-8 weeks (usually. sometimes more, sometimes less), during this time, we will be in close contact working on the design together. I will get your feedback and work with you. Once I have everything together, I will send you a live snapshot so you can take a look at the design and also give your feedback. I love feedback. It helps me create the perfect design for you, so please don’t hesitate to give a little bit of it.

I want to thank you in advance for your patience. I am a very, VERY, busy work at home mother to a little baby.. who has just become active so most of my designing is done in the evening. I love what I do and put everything into my designs. I enjoy getting feedback and reading the excitement of others once their design is complete.

However, in the beginning, if you are a little upset because I have not chosen the right shade of pink.. or the font I used has too many curly cues… you may want to rethink a designer. I am a perfectionist, and I will work my little fingers to the bone creating the perfect design for you.. but if I just can’t please you.. I will gladly refer you to someone else who might be able to. Please remember that I am a full time mama as well as a full time designer.

Your design is complete, and you are loving it! Great! Let’s get that baby installed. All I ask is that you leave the linkback in place.. not too much to ask eh? Are you available for support after my design has been installed?
You are free to email me anytime you have a question or problem with your design, I may not always be able to respond but I will try my best. All customizations however, come with a maintenance fee after the design has been installed.

If you customize a template for me, will it be one that can used with the new Blogger beta?
All of Delicious Design Studio’s Templates are made for Blogger Beta, unless specified.

Will my blogger template still have the widget page under layout that I can add and change things around?
All of your widgets are customizable, and visible. You can add links to your blogroll, you can add and remove widgets, and anything you’d like.

I like to change the look of my blog often to fit the holidays etc. Will I be able to change the color on my own or is that something you have to do?
If you are familiar with color codes, you can change the font colors and link colors on your own. I can give you a list of sites with color codes on them. This will have to be done under the “Edit HTML” instead of “fonts and colors”. As far as headers go, contact me and I would be happy to make headers that fit your blog for the holidays.

I already have a sitemeter on my blog, is that something I can just keep?
Definitely. I will transfer anything over from your old blog template, to your new one. You won’t lose anything. All those little sidebar widgets will go untouched. However, I can add a few if you like.. such as, recent posts, recent comments. Let me know.

I don’t want to wait anymore, can I have a refund?
Unfortunately, the answer is no.

Once your deposit and/or full payment has been received, your project is accepted and placed on the design schedule and other projects are often turned away.

No refunds are permitted under any circumstances. Your deposit is a retainer of our time, it secures your position on our schedule and covers the costs preliminary consultation and expertise. If you change your mind, that is unfortunate, but again, no refunds are permitted. Ever.

The project schedule is how we keep our business moving forward. If you choose to halt the project temporarily or otherwise place the project on hold for any length of time for any reason, a continuation fee may be required, once the project resumes.

Please bear in mind that we work from a very lengthy waiting list, so please don’t commit to a project if you’re not 100% certain you are motivated and are willing to wait.

What did you do to my website? Nothing is working!

Chances are, it is not us. Please contact your hosting provider if you are experiencing any sort of issue with your website. We will never go into your website unannounced. That’s just not our style.
