In this post I will explain how to install the template file in your Blogger blog. If you have downloaded the .zip archive containing all the template files, first you’ll need to extract its contents to a folder in your computer. Then follow these steps:
1. Login to your Blogger dashboard. If you have more than one blog, just click on the title of the blog for which you want to install the new template.
2. Click on “Template” as shown below:
3. On the top right of the page, click on the “Backup/Restore” button, next to the settings icon:
4. You will now see a dialog box with the options to download the existing full template or to upload an external file. Click on “Choose file” or “Browse”, select the .xml file of the template, and click on “Upload”.
The template is now installed, and you can click on “Layout” on the left hand side to adjust or reorder your widgets and install the header and/or footer.

I uploaded the xml file but only the background appears – no header or footer or anything else. What did I miss?
