Installing a premade for Blogger:

Here are instructions on how to install your premade design with blogger. Keep in mind that all your widgets will be deleted so you need to back them up manually (copy and paste the codes into notepad), there is a way to back them up if you are brave enough to get your hands a little dirty. *To add your blog title to your header, open up the header file (header.png if you do not have photoshop, and header.psd if you do have photoshop) in a photo editing program, even paint will do. Add your title, save it but (Make sure to save the file as a PNG file (for transparency) otherwise you will have a weird background color), and upload to blogger (go to page elements, click on edit header and upload). You do NOT want to shrink to fit!

Adding the FOOTER PICTURE that you see on the design:
Go to layout > page elements > and add an element to the footer. Click on PICTURE and upload the footer image. DO NOT SHRINK TO FIT!

Installing a premade for Wordpress

You will need to have some knowledge of FTP to install your wordpress theme and plugins (if included). You can get your FTP settings from your host, if do not know them.

A good FREE recommendation for FTP is http://filezilla-project.org/

If your design comes with a plugin (most likely the TTF plugin), you will install the plugin through FTP in your wp-content/plugins folder. Don’t forget to activate it through wordpress!

Adding your blog title to your header

To add your blog title to the header.png, open it in photoshop (you can even download a free trial if need be), paint, paintshop and add your blog title. Make sure to save the file as a PNG file (for transparency) otherwise you will have a weird background color. If this is for wordpress, you reupload the image to the wp-content/themes/ and then find your theme folder to upload it to and you are all set!

To add your image to blogger, go to page elements, click on edit header and upload. MAKE SURE TO UNCLICK “SHRINK TO FIT” IF IT’S CHECKED. You do NOT want to shrink to fit!

If you want to use a specific font for your header that you see in the premade snapshot, send me an e-mail and I will let you know the font name.
